CERAMIC COATING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Important Customer Information
Ceramic coating is a liquid-applied protective layer that bonds to the surface of the vehicle to provide enhanced protection, gloss, and ease of maintenance.
Ceramic coating is not a physical barrier, does not prevent all damage, and is not a substitute for Paint Protection Film (PPF).
By booking this service, the customer confirms they have read, understood and accepted the terms below.
1. Nature of Ceramic Coating
Ceramic coating enhances:
Gloss and depth
Hydrophobic properties
Ease of cleaning
Resistance to environmental contamination
However, it does not make the vehicle damage-proof.
2. What Ceramic Coating Does NOT Do
Ceramic coating does not:
Prevent stone chips
Stop scratches
Eliminate swirl marks
Protect against impact damage
Replace PPF
The customer accepts that:
Ceramic coating is a maintenance aid, not a protective shield.
3. Surface Preparation
The final result of a ceramic coating depends entirely on the surface underneath.
This may require:
Decontamination
Machine polishing
Paint correction
If defects remain in the paint, they will be visible beneath the coating.
4. No Perfection Guarantee
Ceramic coating does not hide defects.
The customer accepts:
Swirl marks, scratches and chips may remain visible
Finish is only as good as the underlying paint
Minor imperfections may be present
5. Application Process
Ceramic coating is applied by hand and cured over time.
During this process:
Minor high spots may occur
Slight variation in finish may occur
Environmental factors may affect curing
All work is carried out to industry standard, not perfection standard.
6. Curing Period
After application, the coating requires time to cure.
The customer must:
Avoid water exposure for at least 24–48 hours
Avoid washing for 5–7 days
Avoid chemicals during initial curing
Full curing may take up to 2–4 weeks.
7. Aftercare Requirements
To maintain the coating, the customer must:
Use correct washing methods
Avoid harsh chemicals
Avoid automatic car washes
Maintain the vehicle regularly
Failure to follow aftercare may reduce coating lifespan.
8. Warranty Limitations
Some coatings come with manufacturer-backed warranties.
These typically cover:
Product failure (when maintained correctly)
Warranty does not cover:
Poor maintenance
Incorrect washing
Environmental damage
Scratches or swirl marks
Water spotting
Contamination damage
Proof of maintenance may be required.
9. Longevity
Coating lifespan depends on:
Maintenance
Usage
Environment
Mileage
Storage conditions
Stated durations (e.g. 3-year, 5-year) are maximum expected lifespans, not guarantees.
10. Deposits & Payments
A deposit may be required to secure booking.
Final payment must be made before vehicle collection.
Deposits are non-refundable where preparation or materials have been allocated.
11. Timeframes
Completion times are estimates only.
Delays may occur due to:
Preparation work
Paint condition
Environmental conditions
12. Liability
We are not liable for:
Pre-existing defects
Paint failure
Mechanical issues
Personal belongings
13. No Refund Policy
Ceramic coating is a bespoke service.
Once applied:
No refunds will be issued.
We reserve the right to assess and rectify genuine issues.
14. Legal Acceptance
By proceeding, the customer confirms:
Ceramic coating does not prevent damage
It does not replace PPF
It does not remove or hide defects
Proper maintenance is required
Lifespan depends on care
No refunds are issued based on misunderstanding of product capabilities
