BMW M4 Stealth PPF & ceramic coating

Working on a frozen paint BMW M4 Competition brings a completely different set of challenges compared to standard gloss finishes—especially on a vehicle that’s recently undergone bodywork repairs.

Initial Inspection & Preparation

We began with a full inspection of the repaired areas to assess paint quality, texture, and consistency. Frozen paint can’t be polished in the traditional sense without altering the finish, so preparation had to be extremely controlled. The vehicle was safely deep cleaned and decontaminated to ensure a perfectly clean surface before installation.

Correcting & Levelling the Finish

Where required, we carried out very light, specialist correction techniques on repaired panels to level any imperfections—without introducing gloss or patchiness. This is a delicate process on matte/frozen finishes and requires experience to maintain a uniform look across the entire car.

Stealth PPF Installation

The full vehicle was then wrapped in Stealth PPF, transforming and evening out the appearance while adding a durable protective layer.

Matching repaired vs original paint: Ensuring a consistent satin finish across all panels was critical, especially where fresh paint had been applied Handling frozen paint safely: Avoiding glossing or marking the surface during prep and install

Complex M4 body lines: Aggressive curves and sharp edges required precise stretching and alignment of the film

Final Ceramic Coating

Once installation was complete, we applied a ceramic coating specifically designed for PPF. This enhances the satin finish, adds hydrophobic properties, and makes the vehicle significantly easier to maintain—while also helping to resist staining on the matte surface.

The end result is a perfectly uniform stealth finish, fully protected against future damage - turning a previously repaired vehicle into something that looks even better than factory.
